Emergency Cat or Kitten Treatments : Things to Keep in Mind

Though cat/kitten have much more developed immune system than human sometimes they may also need emergency treatments. Sometimes animal hospital can make your cat treatment delay. Pneumonia, Cold arrest, Fall into the water, Urination, swollen belly are the most common complications for kittens or cats. So that it’s not needed every time to go to an animal hospital. You can treat on your own.

Always it’s not possible to go to a vet when your beloved cat is sick.  Especially in third world countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Myanmar etc animal hospitals are not available always. There are so many conditions when cat adopters search for help but our so-called medical theory stops them to get online treatment.

Does your cat fall into water or any environment through which she gets caught to pneumonia/cold arrest?

please make sure that you are observing these symptoms:

Treatments:

  • So many baby cough syrups are available in the market. Administer them with precautions
  • Erythromycin/Azithromycin syrup.

 Now go to a vet because the kitten may need IV/IM dose.

Your cat’s/kitten’s belly is swollen and warm?

Symptoms:

  • If not doing poops for 2 or more days
  • Also not enough urination
  • In addition not drinking enough water
  • Feeling lazy

Treatments:

  • Milk of magnesium syrup
  • Multivitamin syrup

In other cases, you can treat your cat with human medications. But in this case, you must be aware of the age of your cat.

A. Age: 1- 30 days (cats)= 1-6 months Human

B. Age: 2-4 months (cats)= 2-5 years of human

C. Age: above 6 months = Adult human

Treatments:

  • Anti-worm shampoo
  • Vitamin

 Now go to a vet because the kitten may need IV/IM dose.

Suddenly your cat sleeping too much?

please make sure that you are observing these symptoms:

  • Stay quiet and calm. Let is sleep as much as it needs.

This is nothing but an internal brain hormonal imbalance and they already do have its counterpart within themselves. Sleeping is medicine in this case.

Your cat is doing sound during breathing?

please make sure that you are observing these symptoms:

  • Bowl belly
  • Long inhalation
  • Coughing
  • Shaking and releasing mucus from nose/mouth

Treatments:

  • antibiotic syrup.
